Do not run MCPGo directly from inside the ZIP or TAR.GZ. Extract the complete package first to preserve the included runtime.

Do I need Codex CLI?

No. MCPGo also recognizes the certified official Codex extension.

Does it work if I use Codex as an extension?

Yes, the official Codex extension for VS Code and VS Code Insiders is certified.

Do I need to install Node?

No. Node 22.23.2 is included and verified in both packages.

What does “Connection verified” mean?

It means a separate connection check completed; finding an installation alone does not claim this state.

What if my client is not detected?

Use safe manual selection for a certified executable and review the sanitized diagnostics.

Can I use Windows and Linux?

MCPGo 4.0.3 has separately signed x64 packages for Windows and Linux.

How do I verify my download?
